Cline Scientific has developed innovative nanotechnology based products for their work within Life Sciences, e.g. stem cell- and cancer research. The technology is compatible with several materials as well as analytical methods and enables possibilities for scale-up in large volumes. The latter is a known issue for other surface nanotechnologies. Together with big pharma and universities, Cline has been able to utilize their technology to help scientists further their research.

The Cline Nano Gradients can in combination with bio-molecules enable unique and precise control of stem cell differentiation, essential in development and production of stem cell therapies. The same gradients, in a different setting, can also provide new insights into cancer research and cell migration, a process causing metastasis in the human body.

Cline's technology has also been used in several other scientific fields such as physics when studying optical properties and bio-sensing.
